Running on Low; Work has to be done
You need to get things done regardless of how low your energy is; You don't want to wait until your energy is high.
You know those days; the ones where your usual spark feels dim, where the energy that normally fuels you has vanished without warning? Even as a high-energy person, youโre not immune to off days. And when they hit, they can feel like โthis is not meโ.
Here is the thing, it is you. The high and off days are part of who we are.
Instead of fighting the off days and trying to find same level of energy every time, I am learning to work with the low days as well; No forcing of productivity, work with my energy to get the work done.
Honestly, it can be frustrating because high energy for me equal to Efficiency. Oh well, high energy or not work must be done yea?
On low energy days, I try to focus on progress. I adjust my expectations and acknowledge that progress matters. If I thought I was going to finish a task in 2 hours, I adjust to maybe 5 hours but with the same goal โfinish the taskโ. My low energy days simply means Iโll spend more time on a task than usual.
Energy will always come and go. Today might be slow, but tomorrow? Tomorrow could be the โelectric energyโ ;โthe one that will shock you โ ๐๐๐
Trust the cycle, few days off day wonโt derail your progress unless you let it.
The truth is, working with your off days is just as important as maximizing your energetic days. Productivity isnโt about perfection, itโs about persistence.
โKeep showing up, even at half-speedโ
What strategies do you use to handle your low days? Iโd love to hear about them .
Resonates with the quote that says "if you can't run, walk, if you can't walk, crawl, whatever it is just keep moving"
It is important to give ourselves grace, that helps to know that you are trying, your body isn't just willing to cooperate
For me on days I have high energy, I'll cover more and those days that are low, I'll do as much as I can.
Thank you for this beautiful read
